Description

This is a regional electricity transmission company. It was partially privatized in 1993 and 49% of its stock is held by RAO EES Rossii. As a result of RAO UES led power sector restructuring Russia that took place over 2003-2008 period, KalugaEnergo merged into the Interregional Distribution Grid Company of Center and PriVolzhya. The latter was a holding company comprising of the power transmission assets of nine former Energos: KalugaEnergo, IvEnergo, KalugaEnergo, KirovEnergo, MariEnergo, NizhnovEnergo, RyazanEnergo, TulEnergo and UdmurtEnergo. These companies were responsible to power transmission and connection to the grid in Vladimir, Ivanov, Kaluga, Kirov, Nishnii Novgorod, Ryazan, and Tulsk Oblasts as well as in of Marii El and Udmurt republics. http://kalugaenergo.ru/about/description/
