Description

This is a regional electricity utility with 8,023-MW of generating capacity. It was privatized in 1993 and 66% of its stock is held by RAO EES Rossii. 75% of its capacity is supplied by the Krasnoyarsk Hydro Power Plant (GES) which, as of June 19, 1997 was no longer a subsidiary of Krasnoyarskenergo (although Krasnoyarskenergo retains a 27.9% stake in GES). GES will continue to supply Krasnoyarskenergo but will attempt direct deliveries to large customers of about 30-50% of output. As a result of RAO UES led power sector restructuring in Russia over 2003-2008, AO Krasnoyarskenergo's power generating assets were consolidated with the Territorial Generating Company TGK-13 (Yeniseiskaya).
