Description | AO Tambov Electrosvyaz is the regional telecommunications operator for the Tambovskaya Oblast, which is located 400 km south of Moscow. The company provides long-distance and international service through its access lines operated by Rostelecom. Tambov Electrisvyaz has 22 branches, each of them operating a district. The company was privatized in 1995, following the formation of Svyazinvest, the national holding company. Svyazinvest held 38% of the common stock, and 51% of the voting rights by 1998. The biggest stockholder of the company after Svyazinvest is ULM Enterprises Ltd, a subsidiary of NHC Investment Fund. Employees also own a significant portion of the company shares. Starting from 2003 became a branch of Center Telecom. |
