In July 1996, Acuantioquia ESP (state-owned) signed with Grupon Lctd. a 15 year contract to opeate the water utility of the municipality of Apartado since 26 August.
On April 3 1997, Grupon transfered the concession to Prestadora de Servicios Publicos Dominiciliarios SA (Presea SA ESP). Presea Apartado SA ESP was the actual operator of the utility.

Description | In July 1996, Acuantioquia ESP (state-owned) signed with Grupon Lctd. a 15 year contract to opeate the water utility of the municipality of Apartado since 26 August. On April 3 1997, Grupon transfered the concession to Prestadora de Servicios Publicos Dominiciliarios SA (Presea SA ESP). Presea Apartado SA ESP was the actual operator of the utility. The municipality had a population of 114,840 inhabitants in 2005. Acuantioquia ESP sold the utility to the Municipality of Apartado. In 2006, the municipality transferred the regulator power to Aguas de Uraba SA (regional and municipal government owned enterprise) on September 13. The contract was terminated on Jan 31 2012. |
