Asia Pacific Medical Group (“APMG” or the “Company”) is a leading medical service provider founded by Michael Choy, a US-trained surgeon, and a group of US-based physicians and surgeons in 1992. APMG’s hospitals and clinics offer a range of primary care and specialty services, with focuses including neurology, oncology, cardiovascular, maternity, pediatrics and dermatology. Currently the Company owns hospitals and clinics in Beijing, Shanghai and Tianjin. The Company also recently entered a JV agreement with a healthcare clinic chain with operations in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong. APMG aims to help Chinese patients to access quality specialty healthcare services. The Company has an investment program (the “Project”) that entails the expansion and refurbishment of its existing facilities in Beijing and Tianjin, purchase of additional medical equipment in Shanghai, as well as expansion plans in China. IFC is considering supporting the Project through debt and equity investments.
