Appia Roadmap for European Tokenised Financial Ecosystem

planned

The Appia roadmap is a strategic initiative by the Eurosystem aimed at shaping the development of a European tokenised financial ecosystem. It focuses on ensuring central bank money remains the anchor of the financial system during Europe's digital transformation. The project involves building integrated, innovative, and resilient tokenised wholesale financial markets across Europe, leveraging distributed ledger technology (DLT) and smart contracts. The initiative plans to crystallise its vision in a blueprint by 2028 and guide market developments and enhancements to the Pontes platform.
