Description | Apple announced a $600 billion investment over four years in the U.S., including the launch of the American Manufacturing Program (AMP) to bring more of Apple's supply chain and advanced manufacturing to the U.S. The program includes partnerships with companies like Corning, Coherent, GlobalWafers America, Applied Materials, Texas Instruments, Samsung, GlobalFoundries, Amkor, and Broadcom to expand manufacturing of components such as smartphone glass, VCSEL lasers, silicon wafers, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and chip packaging facilities. Construction is underway or planned for new and expanded facilities in multiple states including Kentucky, Texas, Arizona, New York, North Carolina, Iowa, Nevada, Oregon, and Texas. |
