Description | Applied Digital is investing $75 million in power system upgrades in eastern North Dakota to support a data center near Interstate 29 between Fargo and Harwood. The project includes an electrical substation and a 345-kilowatt high-voltage powerline. Minnkota Power Cooperative will own and operate the new facilities, which will provide power to the data center requiring about 280 megawatts. The project is called the Agassiz Transmission Line and Substation and is expected to begin construction in April 2026 and complete by September 2026, with the data center becoming fully operational in early 2027. |
