Description | Aqaba Digital Hub project involves the development of essential ICT infrastructure in Aqaba, Jordan and providing a critical interconnection point for an Internet cable system connecting Europe and Asia. The project is expected to enhance Internet latency for end users by at least 30ms and significantly drive down data costs in Jordan. Sponsors are local company Al-Nayi for Informational and Communicational Consulting Company and affiliated company Al-Mirnaah Investment and Business Development Company. The total investment value is $17.59 million of which $14 million are financed by a 15-year loan from the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation.
