AquaFit Seniors is a one-year Erasmus+ Sport project designed to promote healthy aging and social inclusion through structured swimming and rehabilitation programs for seniors. The project addresses the lack of accessible aquatic activities for older adults, many of whom never learned to swim due to financial, infrastructural, or social barriers. The project will engage at least 210 seniors (105 per country) in tailored swimming and rehabilitation sessions, helping them improve mobility, overcome fear of water, and enhance overall well-being. Additionally, 16 coaches (8 per country) will receive specialized training in senior-friendly aquatic instruction, ensuring long-term sustainability. Key activities include: ✅ Senior Swimming & Rehabilitation Sessions – Weekly instructor-led classes in Slovakia and Czechia. ✅ Coach Training & Capacity Building – Development of specialized methodologies for senior-friendly aquatic programs. ✅ Methodology Development & Knowledge Sharing – Creation of training guides, a Good Practices Report, and an online resource hub. ✅ Hybrid Final Conference – Presentation of project results and best practices to policymakers, sports organizations, and rehabilitation centers.
