Aquatic Centre RBJ Schlegel Park

The project, identified through the City of Kitchener’s Leisure Facility Master Plan, proposes to build a new aquatic centre in RBJ Schlegel Park. The project scope includes the construction of an eight-lane 25-metre pool, full Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) compliance with ramp access, and diving boards; universal change rooms; bleacher seating and on-deck viewing; a warm leisure pool with water features; community use multi-purpose rooms and social spaces; public washrooms; administrative offices for the facility, storage, and food and beverage service. The new facility will provide an increased quality and level of aquatic services to the entirety of the City of Kitchener as the current 4 indoor pools are operating at capacity.
