Description | California American Water has completed preparations of critical infrastructure for its Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR) program on the Monterey Peninsula. The program captures and treats surplus water from the Carmel River during rainy periods and stores it in the Seaside Basin for use during drier months. Preparation work included sterilization and inspection of seasonal wells, installation of new or rehabilitated equipment such as column pipes, pumps, pump shafts and motors, followed by disinfection of the wells. |
