The project involves the construction of Araxá 1 and Araxá 2 solar PV plants, located in the municipality of same name in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Sponsor is Spanish Powertis SA. Both projects are part of the 90MW Araxa solar pv complex, and received BRL194 million ($38.6 million) from BNDES. The loan was provided under BNDES' Finem credit programme, which takes into account social benefits that the projects can generate. Financial close was announced in October 2020.
