Description | A greenfield integrated steel plant project by ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) at Rajayyapeta near Nakkapalli in Anakapalli district, Andhra Pradesh. The project aims to produce 17.8 million metric tonnes of steel per annum and will be developed in two phases, with the first phase targeting 7.3–8.2 million tonnes capacity and operations commencing by 2028–2029, followed by full capacity expansion. The project includes a captive port, dedicated pipelines for raw material supply, and connectivity via a four-lane national highway. It is expected to generate employment for approximately one lakh people and includes skill development initiatives. |
