Description | The small museums in the archipelago have limited resources and are isolated from each other. They have difficulty finding time and resources to exchange experiences and cooperate. The aim of the Archipelago museums project was partly to provide the small archipelago museums with the possibility to achieve new perspectives, experiences and ideas and to develop new activities within e.g. teaching, exhibitions, opening hours, guiding and marketing. The project also wanted to find and identify new ways for the small museums to increase their income, number of visitors and to become more visible in the media. Crafts, souvenirs, books, pamphlets and various museum- related products were developed within the scope of the project. The project cooperated with local suppliers. The target group in the project was more than one hundred archipelago museums within the archipelago region. |
