Description

Description

In the Kolarctic Enpi program area are already existing exhibition centres that would form together an arctic exhibition centres network. Through networking each member will increase the opportunities to develop its exhibition and related activities. Tromso and Rovaniemi, respectively Polaria and Arctic Centre, have already on their own a well-recognised exhibition centre, nationally and internationally. They both carry many activities around their exhibitions and participate actively to several projects related to exhibition, information dissemination and science communications. They both rely on several years of expertise and experience in these fields while in Murmansk the Arctic Expo Centre on The Lenin Icebreaker is at the very beginning of its career. Building up such a network between these existing or emerging exhibition centres would allow the efficient and reliable planning and implementation of the Lenin icebreaker exhibition centre and to the development of the exhibitions in Polaria and in the Arctic Centre. The overall objective is to develop new exhibitions and innovative communication tools as a means to improve the information on local and cross-borders concerns and to increase mutual understanding among neighbouring populations. The goal is to raise awareness on issues and topics related to the marine environment, local development, climate changes, cultural heritage, globalisation and many other ones to be identified along the project. In the Kolarctic Enpi program area are already existing exhibition centres that would form together an arctic exhibition centres network.
