Description | Arizona will receive $20 million in federal funding to address PFAS and other harmful contaminants in the drinking water of small or disadvantaged communities. The funds will be managed by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality and the Water Infrastructure Finance Authority to support sampling, hydrogeologic studies, outreach, training, and projects to address PFAS contamination. To date, approximately 22 projects totaling about $8.5 million have been funded, including treatment system design, water system interconnections, and well evaluations. |
