Description | Arizona will receive $20 million in federal funds to address PFAS 'forever chemicals' and other harmful contaminants in the drinking water of small or disadvantaged communities. The funds will be managed by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality and the Water Infrastructure Finance Authority to support testing, treatment system design, water system interconnections, and well evaluations. To date, approximately 22 projects totaling about $8.5 million have been funded, with some still in the design phase and future construction phases planned. |
