Information Irrigation & Water Resources-UP has come up with Arjun Sahayak Project with a ticket size of 2465.68 INR Crores. This project in Irrigation sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Notice to Proceed and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project The project was included under National Project Scheme of DoWR, RD &GR in 2012. Further, the project was included under Centrally Sponsored Scheme, PMKSY-AIBP in 2016 for funding and early completion. The project consists of the following- [i] 41.60 km long link channel of 73.60 cumec capacity from Lahchura dam to Arjun dam [ii] 31.80 km long link channel from Arjun dam to Kabrai dam connecting Chandrawal dam of 62.32 cumec capacity [iii] Raising of Kabrai dam by 9.23 m to an FRL of 163.46m thereby increasing capacity of Kabrai dam from 1240 ha m to 13025 ha m. [iv] Canal distribution system Total length of new canal system is 168.800 km which includes 53.400km new main canal and 115.40 km distributaries and minors. During inclusion of Project under PMKSY-AIBP in 2016 Balance Cost of the Project was Rs 1675.04 crore Eligible Central Assistance was Rs 132.41 crore CA released since 2016 till 03/ 2023- Rs 116.57 crore Balance CA Rs. 15.8325 Cr. State Share released through NABARD under LTIF till October 2021- R 1353.80 crore Physical progress 99.99 percent Financial Progress 100 percent Ultimate Irrigation Potential is 44381 Ha Irrigation Potential created till 31.03.2023 41561 Ha Projected TDC 31.12.2019 Project Actual Date of Completion 30.11.2021
