Information Department of water resources-MH - II has come up with Arjuna Medium Irrigation project with a ticket size of 611 INR Crores. This project in Irrigation sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Notice to Proceed and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project The project is included under Centrally Sponsored Scheme, PMKSY-AIBP and prioritized in 2016 for early completion. Arjuna Medium Irrigation project is situated in Ratnagiri District of Maharastra. It envisages construction of an earthen dam having length of 1145.50 m. The maximum height of the dam in river portion is 70.35 m. The un-gated spillway, having length 100 m, is located on left side to carry maximum flood to the tune of 1505.506 Cumecs. The catchment area is 28.409 Sqkms. The net 75percentage dependable yield at the dam site is 84.497 Mcum. The gross storage capacity of the dam is 74.67 Mcum. During inclusion of Project under PMKSY-AIBP in 2016 Balance Cost of the Project was Rs 246.16 crore Eligible Central Assistance was Rs 17.69 crore CA released since 2016 till October 2021- 17.68 crore State Share released through NABARD under LTIF till October 2021- Rs 225.5 crore Physical progress- 81.89 percentage Financial Progress - 125.60 percentage Ultimate Irrigation Potential is 5700 Ha Irrigation Potential created till October 2021- 3670 Ha Projected Date of Completion- June 2024
