Description | Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced a financial assistance boost of over $153 million to sustain ongoing water and wastewater projects across Arkansas. The funding supports a wide array of business entities and was approved by the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission. The projects include sewer plant rehabilitation, pollution control facility improvements, wastewater system upgrades, septic tank remediation, water meter replacements, and regionalization projects among others. The initiative is part of the Arkansas Water Plan update, with the first phase completed in August 2024 and the second phase projected to complete in summer 2026. |
