Description | The Armonia Green Castellón project is a green ammonia production plant promoted by IGNIS, located in Castellón de la Plana, Spain. The project is currently in the permitting phase with support from the Valencian regional government. It is designed to produce 861,236 tonnes of green ammonia per year, reduce over two million tonnes of CO₂ emissions, and have a peak electricity demand of 1.05 GW using exclusively renewable power. The project will be developed in three phases, with completion scheduled for 2027, 2029, and 2031. Total planned investment is €1.425 billion (approximately $1.67 billion). |
