The Advanced Resource Recovery Centre (ARRC) Gold Coast Waste-to-Energy (WTE) Project involves the development of a large-scale WTE and resource recovery facility at Stapylton in Queensland, Australia. The project is designed to process hundreds of thousands of tonnes of non-recyclable residual waste each year that would otherwise be sent to landfill. Using advanced thermal treatment and energy recovery technologies, the facility will convert waste into electricity capable of supplying power to tens of thousands of homes while reducing landfill dependency and greenhouse gas emissions from decomposing waste. The broader development also includes integrated recycling, materials recovery, and circular economy infrastructure as part of the ARRC precinct.
