This initiative seeks to foster new public interest in WWII history by presenting it through the lens of modern artistry. The objectives are focusing on fostering dialogue between different cultural domains, inspiring reflective discussions on the past, enhancing public engagement at remembrance sites, promoting interdisciplinary learning, and creative expression. The key activities are: - Artist Residencies at WWII Remembrance Sites: artists will be invited to reside at various significant WWII locations in France, Belgium, Poland and Italy, where they will create art inspired by the history of these sites. - Workshops and Seminars: these sessions will be organized for the public, local communities, artists, and students, offering insights into history and contemporary art practices. - Traveling Exhibitions: artworks created during the residencies will be showcased in traveling exhibitions, making the project's outcomes accessible to a broader audience. - Publications and Online Platform: a series of publications, including the exhibition catalog, and a digital platform will document the project, facilitating global access and engagement. - Communication and Dissemination: a robust communication strategy, leveraging digital and social media, will ensure the project's wide reach and visibility.
