Description

The U.S. Open's Arthur Ashe Stadium is undergoing an $800 million overhaul, which is the largest single investment in the history of the Grand Slam tournament. The project includes improvements at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York, funded solely by the U.S. Tennis Association. Key features include a new $250 million player performance center with additional courts, locker rooms, lounges, and an open-air warmup area. The stadium will also see an increase in courtside-level seating capacity from 3,000 to 5,000, a new grand entrance, two new luxury suite levels, more club and restaurant areas, larger and updated concourses and restrooms, and more escalators and elevators. The project is expected to be completed in time for the 2027 U.S. Open.
