Description | The United States Tennis Association (USTA) is undertaking an 800 million dollars project to transform and modernise the Arthur Ashe Stadium at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Centre in Queens. The project includes a new player performance centre, a new grand entrance, 2,000 new seats, two new luxury suite levels, upgraded concourses, dining, and retail shops. The player performance center will be a two-story, 250 million dollars facility with expanded fitness and warm-up areas, improved dining, and redesigned locker rooms with a spa-like experience. The work will be completed by the 2027 U.S. Open, with phased construction to avoid interruption of the 2025 and 2026 tournaments. |
