Artificial Rain Project at Ramgarh Dam

planned

An initiative to provide artificial rain at Ramgarh Dam using cloud seeding technology with drones and artificial intelligence (AI). The project aims to create artificial rain by spraying sodium chloride in clouds using drones, which will form water droplets conducive for rain through condensation. This is the first time such technology is being implemented in India using drones instead of aircraft. The project is led by Agriculture Minister Kirori Lal Meena and carried out by American company Excel-1 using drones procured from South Korea. The initiative involves coordination among various government departments and has obtained drone flying permission from DGCA.
