Description
Description | The Delhi Development Authority plans to develop an 'Artisans Eco Lab' spanning 236.5 hectares at the Yamuna Vanasthali site. The project aims to blend art, ecology, and recreation, featuring exhibition zones for traditional and contemporary crafts, eco-adventure activities, nature trails, birdwatching decks, riverfront cycling circuits, and illuminated eco-trails. It includes night safaris, experiential stays, live demonstrations, artisan kiosks, and adventure activities like zip lines and hot air balloons. The project will restrict vehicular movement to maintain environmental balance and focus on native species landscaping to boost biodiversity. Revenue generation will be through ticketed entries, sales, workshops, exhibitions, events, and food kiosks with a revenue-sharing model between DDA and the selected agency. |
