Description | Arts United of Greater Fort Wayne is planning to remodel the Arts United Center, the city’s arts campus. Designed by Louis Kahn and opened in 1973, the project will make the venue more accessible for people with disabilities. The work will also include new lighting and mechanical systems, expand the footprint to add a loading dock, an expanded scene-creating shop and a two-story wing containing classrooms, offices and a café. Another phase will add a second-story outdoor terrace and a two-story indoor/outdoor event space. It is being designed by MKM Architecture + Design, MKSK Studios and DLR Group. Hagerman & Co. has been chosen as the construction manager. |
