Description | Ascaya is a vast housing development just outside Las Vegas, Nevada. Initially one of the largest excavation sites in the U.S. in the early 2000s, most of the infrastructure including excavation and roads was completed before the economic recession and subprime mortgage crisis stalled further work. The developer paused the project and resumed sales in 2014 with a soft opening. To showcase the potential of the 313 plots of land, Ascaya commissioned five firms to design five 'inspiration homes' reflecting a 'desert contemporary' style. The development is positioned on a triangular half-acre lot elevated approximately 1,000 feet above the Las Vegas Valley and includes amenities such as an infinity pool, outdoor fire pit, modern kitchen, entertainment room, and a large three-car garage. The Ascaya Clubhouse, a 23,000-square-foot exclusive club with spa, fitness center, terrace pool, and tennis pavilion, is planned for residents. |
