Description
Description | The Asean Power Grid aims to connect the power systems of all ten Asean nations to enable countries with excess renewable energy to export it to those facing shortages, reducing waste, stabilizing supply, and strengthening energy security across the region. It includes 18 power interconnection projects across Asean, such as the Sarawak–Singapore Interconnection Project, which will export around 1 gigawatt of renewable energy to Singapore. The grid is planned for full implementation by 2045 and is a key part of Asean's decarbonisation agenda and renewable energy integration. |
