Ashland Sewer System Improvement Project

The city of Ashland is upgrading its sewer system, including expanding the wastewater treatment facility to increase capacity from 600,000 gallons per day to 1.6 million gallons per day, with potential to treat up to 2.6 million gallons per day once fully built out. The project aims to improve sewer facilities despite a failed $40 million bond issue in 2024. Sewer service rates are being increased to offset the cost of the upgrades.
