Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) is a private Malaysian university focused on technology and industry-driven education. Located in Kuala Lumpur’s Technology Park Malaysia (TPM), APU occupies over 427,187 sq. m. of gross site area with fourteen main buildings totaling 128,057 sq. m. of gross floor area. Established in 1993, it offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in computing, engineering, business, design, and media. With students from more than 130 countries, APU fosters an international environment. The university aims to expand its capacity from 16,000 to 25,000 students by 2030, adding four new buildings for lecture halls and student accommodation.IFC’ investment is to an equity investment of US$34mn in APU. Creador is the Project Sponsor and a well-established regional private equity fund manager. The IFC investment will be conducted through a co-investment special purpose vehicle (Co-investment SPV) managed by Creador. Following the transaction, APU will be majority-owned by the Co-investment SPV.
