Description
Description | AAHII will establish a nodal Centre of Excellence in inter-disciplinary and translational, R&D Block, academic block [PG Medical courses, Integrated Health & Engineering sciences curricula such as Health Data-Science, Digital Health, Bio-medical Engineering, MPH etc.], a Super-speciality hospital [500 beds] and ancillary infrastructure. This will also be a connected hospital with a state-of-the-art AR-VR-enabled Simulation lab, while being a centre for upskilling all health human resources in Assam, will play a pivotal role in R&D in biomaterials, biosensors, and emerging frontier areas in health sciences. Its imaginative academic curricula, both in PG medical education and inter-disciplinary subjects such as health data science, bio-medical engineering etc. will create a new genre of researchers and scientists who will push the boundaries of knowledge and advance knowledge of health sciences and will lead to innovation and of technologies in healthcare which will again lead to import substitution. And will also improve reach and access in rural areas. From a clinical perspective, the hospital will focus on tertiary specialities [e.g., Neonatology, Robotics, Transplantation, Orthopaedics, Trauma, Critical Care, CRISPR, Genetics, Neurosciences, Neurobiology] and draw patients from state teaching hospitals on a referral basis. |
