PT Westindo Utama Karya was a private Indonesian company contracted to build, own and operate a 5 MW geothermal plant (2x 2.5MW) in East Nusa Tengara, Indonesia. The geothermal field itself has a reported capacity of 40MW, according to the sponsor website. The project would sell power under a PPA with the state-owned utility PT PLN with a price of power at 9 cents/kWh. Projected comissioning was for the end of 2012. Total funds allocated by PT Westindo Utama Karya was USD 50 million, with 20 million going toward equipment supply & construction, 15 million to well exploration and another 15 million allocated to capacity expansion.
