The project entails the development of the 390MW Atinkou combined-cycle gas power plant in Jacqueville near Abidjan in Ivory Coast. The plant will consist of 265MW of gas-fired and a 125MW steam turbine. The sponsor Eranove has been awarded a design, build, finance, operate and maintain (DBFOM) contract to deliver the project under a 20-year contract. The government retains the option to acquire a 15% stake in the project company which is otherwise 100% owned by Eranove. The total value of the transaction is EUR404 million or USD440.74 million with a 75:25 debt-equity ratio. The project is financed via development finance packages from IFC, AfDB, EAIF, FMO and OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID).
