IDB Invest is considering an equity investment (Class A Units) in Atis Group Latam LLC ("Atis") for an amount of up to US$10 million. Founded in 2016, Atis is a leading regional independent telecommunications tower operator, with more than 1,000 sites distributed across Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay. Atis will use the resources to expand its tower portfolio, primarily through the construction of new towers for mobile network operators.The Project contributes to reducing the digital divide through the expansion and improvement of mobile broadband infrastructure. Its specific development objectives are to expand the capacity and coverage of mobile networks through the construction of new towers, and to increase the productivity and efficiency of existing telecommunications infrastructure by facilitating tower sharing among multiple mobile network operators.
