Atome Power Solar-Plus-Storage Project in Paraguay

Green fertiliser projects developer Atome PLC has set up a new renewable power generation and infrastructure division, Atome Power, starting with a solar-plus-storage project targeting up to 400 MW of capacity near its green fertiliser project in Villeta, Paraguay. The company has secured an option over 685 hectares of terrain close to the Buey Rodeo substation and is in talks with key stakeholders. Discussions with potential EPC contractors are underway, with due diligence and feasibility studies expected to start soon. Completion of the project will mark Atome's entry as an independent power producer in Paraguay. Atome Power is intended to operate as a joint venture with Atome holding 80% ownership and Fondo de Inversion en Innovacion de Paraguay SA (FIIP) as a proposed minority investor.
