The project will rehabilitate aging stormwater and sewer systems in Leamington, Ontario. The work will involve replacing approximately 1.2 kilometres of combined sewers with separate storm and sanitary sewers complete with new service connections. Signage, curbing, and catch basins will also be replaced and the roadway upgraded. The project will create capacity at the sewage treatment plant by redirecting storm water to a new management system, which will result in more reliable wastewater service and reduce the potential for wastewater effluent by-passes during heavy rains that may result in phosphorus loading in Lake Erie.
