AUGE 2nd is aimed at keeping involving youngsters, actively and through digital media – to shape the future of Europe in a more sustainable, inclusive, beautiful way. The project builds on AUGE and its transnational community to enhance and enlarge it through new challenges dealing with democracy, climate change, diversity, future economies. This time the youngsters will be supported by young “artivists” (artists that are also activists) to shape new ideas to boost visions, dreams, actions that will inspire and guide future ways of living together in Europe in a more sustainable, inclusive and beautiful way. The global emergence from the COVID pandemic brings unprecedented effort, energy, impetus towards recovery. While cities around the world are embracing a new spirit of necessitated invention and ad hoc collaboration, AUGE 2nd explores opportunity to use “un-disciplinary” co-invention to help them explore current living, anticipate societies’ needs, and magnify their potential to craft a new, more equitable, sustainable, resilient and integrated future. To do that the project will build on AUGE project and its community of 700 youngsters from Italy, Germany, Poland, Latvia, adding Spain as new entry, to co-create ideas and visions on 5 new challenges: 1) Digital and Media awareness 2) Democracy and data surveillance 3) Climate change and space colonization 4) Diversity and gender inclusion 5) Blockchain and future economies We want to keep the AUGE community alive and enlarge it, keep working with the youngsters, inviting young artists to take an active role to support the generation of new ideas and visions coming from the youngsters through co-creation events (artathons), using innovative languages and tools (the metaverse) to co-create and showcase ideas and projects that can rise citizens’ participation.
