Aurea Solar Floating Solar Tracker Pilot Project

Noria Energy began construction on a 50-kilowatt floating solar pilot called Aurea Solar at Golden, Colorado's Fairmount Reservoir. This project combines traditional solar tracking systems with floating solar panels, allowing the system to orient itself toward the sun as it moves, improving solar performance by 10-20%. The system will power onsite pumps that regulate water supply for the utility's customers, aiming to reduce reliance on dirty energy sources and improve water conservation by reducing evaporation.
