The Austral Airport Network concession includes the development of Carlos Ibáñez del Campo Airport in Punta Arenas and the Balmaceda airfield located in Coyhaique.The works for Campo Airport involve expansion, repair, conservation and replacement of the existing infrastructure, equipment and facilities as well as increase conditions of service, comfort, and safety of the passengers. The project aims to expand the current area of airport from 6,471 m2 to 16,014 m2, increase the commercial parking places from 441 to 570 and double the aircraft parking capacity from five to ten positions.The Balmaceda Aerodrome will see terminal area expansion from 2,400 sq.m to 12,391 sq.m, increase in commercial parking places from 272 to 173 and the parking of vehicles, double the aircraft parking capacity from three to six, and thirteen new parking lots for general aviation.
