Australia No-Go Zones for Environmental Protection

planned

Australia is creating designated 'no-go' zones where development will not be allowed to protect the environment. This initiative is part of an overhaul of the country's environment laws to better protect the environment while speeding up clean energy projects. The reforms include 'go zones' to streamline approvals for renewable energy projects and aim to shift from slow project-by-project approvals to broader regional planning by mapping areas where development would cause serious environmental damage and pre-clearing areas suitable for low-impact projects.
