Australian Government Data Center Development Expectations

planned

The Australian Government's Department of Industry, Science, and Resources has published a set of expectations for large-scale data center developments in Australia. These expectations aim to align data center projects with Australia's national interests, support energy transition, promote sustainable water use, invest in local skills and jobs, and strengthen research and innovation capabilities. The government will prioritize projects that meet these expectations in regulatory approval processes.
