The Austrian EQAVET NRP project 2021 – 2023 aims to contribute and support the implementation of the EQAVET Framework and the new VET Recommendation both at national and EU level. The project focuses on supporting the implementation and further development of the new Austrian Quality Management System QMS. OeAD | RQB – Austrian Reference Point for Quality Assurance in General and Vocational Education and Training will support the Austrian Ministry of Education, Science and Research (BMBWF) during the implementation phase of the QMS. As being responsible for main parts of the support system for the QMS, OeAD | RQB will collaborate closely with the BMBWF and involve external expertise in the implementation of the project accordingly. During the previous EQAVET NRP project 2019 - 2021, the development of the QMS was main assignment for the Austrian project and currently the QMS is at the beginning of its three-year implementation phase. The new QMS encompasses both general and vocational education and training, and further, comprises both internal (self-) and external evaluation. QMS is in accordance with the EQAVET Recommendation. In order to support the implementation of the QMS in Austria, supportive measures (e.g., training courses, information materials, exchange of expertise workshops, concept of EQAVET Peer Review) and tools are to be developed and tested. Four work packages for the project are designed: 1) Project management; 2) Communication and dissemination; 3) Supporting the implementation and further development of the Austrian QMS and 4) Participation in the system level Peer Review within the EQAVET Network. All work packages encompass the overall contents and specific aims for the project. By supporting the implementation and further development of the Austrian QMS, the planned project continues to contribute also to the implementation of the EQAVET Framework and the new VET Recommendation. The project has a duration of 29 months.
