Discovery d.o.o was founded in 1990 in Vukovar (Croatia) and its primary activity is film distribution. In 31 years of its existence, Discovery has established itself as a leading theatrical and VoD distribution company of independent titles in Croatia and the whole region (Ex-Yugoslavia territory). The company, which is recognized by the profession and audience, over the years has continued to evolve so today in its portfolio, besides theatrical and VoD distribution it also has cable networks KinoTV and DokuTV as well as streaming platform Moviemix. The company is also taking part in organising Vukovar Film Festival - Danube Region Film Festival as well as various film revues in cinemas. Since Discovery d.o.o. is a leading distributor of independent movies in Croatia with over 70% of the titles being European production, the project of Automatic Support for Distribution is of a great value to us. With the funds received we would be able to promote our movies even better and more efficient and what's more important, we would spread the awareness of independent cinematography to our movie going audience. People are automatically going to theaters to watch blockbusters, but when it comes to independent titles they need to be made aware of the movies which are being distributed in their local cinemas. With Distribution Automatic Support everything becomes easier because it is the funds that we can use in generating awareness of the movies and therefore achieve more admissions.
