AR2030 aims to address key gaps to achieve automatic recognition in the EEA, as outlined in the 2018 Council Recommendation. The specific objectives of the project are to: 1. Strengthen institutional recognition practices via the continued implementation of the Spotlight tool and national admissions office networks in Europe; 2. Promote a common understanding and implementation of automatic recognition via the EHEA qualifications table; 3. Streamline recognition practices across the EEA by translating the EAR-HEI manual; 4. Facilitate flexible learning pathways in higher education by upgrading the micro-credential evaluator; 5. Foster knowledge sharing between ENIC-NARIC centres to support efficient, sustainable, and high-quality recognition in the EEA. 6. Contribute to global recognition practices through a compendium of good practices for national information centres, supporting the UNESCO Global Convention and regional conventions (e.g., LRC). AR2030 will achieve these objectives with a consortium of 14 ENIC-NARIC centres the European University Organization, and the European Association for Distance Teaching Universities. The 13 ENIC-NARIC centres are geographically spread throughout Europe and differ in remit and size. Together they comprise about 30% of the NARICs in EEA and offer a representational reflection of the various recognition practices in the EEA and EHEA countries. The project uses a methodology aimed at quality, efficiency and relevance for the EEA and EHEA. Building on previous work (notably Erasmus+ projects), outcomes are developed in different stages with various internal and external consultation rounds. The project will co-create deliverables within the ENIC-NARIC Networks and their stakeholders at European, global, and national levels, to produce outcomes that can be broadly adopted. To support broad adoption beyond the project’s lifespan, a dissemination package with diverse communication formats will be developed and implemented.
