‘FILMOWA WARSZAWA’ Foundation was established in year 2008. During years 2008-2018 our team were involved in running and programming different art-house cinemas in Warsaw and Zwierzyniec. In the same time we were running Film Discussion Club and organized a lot of mini film festivals targeted to art-house cinemas in Poland. From year 2015 we were co-organiser of Summer Academy Film Festival and from 2019 we are main organizer of this festival ( 22 editions till now). From 2020 we started our theatrical distribution department but due cinemas closures which was caused by Covid-19 pandemic, our distribution plans were significantly reduced. In 2022 and 2023 we plan to invest in European art-house films and achieve our goal which is cumulative year admissions at 50 000. Using fund generated under Creative Europe Automatic scheme, we plan to acquire 5 European non-national films.
