Description | The project involves the pilot deployment of an autonomous electric bus in Munich. MAN, together with its technology partner Adastec, has equipped a fully electric 12-metre MAN Lion’s City 12 E bus with an automated driving system. Initial testing is conducted on a dedicated proving ground, followed by trial operations in regular urban traffic with the Munich Transport Corporation (MVG) starting from autumn 2026. The project is part of the MINGA research initiative led by the City of Munich's Mobility Department and funded by the Federal Ministry of Transport. |
