The scope of works involves the construction of a 3.65-meter wide four-lane expressway with a tunnel, bridges, overpasses, a toll system, and drainage and lighting work. The expressway will reduce the travel time from Santiago to Puerto Plata airport to 30 minutes, compared to the 2-hour drive on the old route (Santo Domingo-Puerto Plata). |
